Being a fan of 80’s rock icon Poison for about the past 20 years, I was naturally interested in the VH1’s reality series Rock of Love, starring Poison lead singer, Bret Michaels. I am not otherwise a fan of reality TV shows, but I have made a point of watching Rock of Love each week just to see who Bret ends up with in the end. After just finishing week eight of the series and with only 5 girls left in the house, it’s been getting both tense and maddening all at the same time.

I was watching an episode of Hollywood True Story on E! Network not that long ago which focused on the life of Food Network personality, Rachael Ray. Toward the end of the program, one of the segments focused on the negative aspects of her fame. Rachael expressed, regarding the website Rachael Ray Sucks (rrsux.com), that everyone is entitled to their opinion.

On June 1st, the FDA issued an alert regarding certain off-brands of toothpaste. It was discovered that toothpaste made in China contained a harmful chemical called diethylene glycol (DEG), which is used in a number of applications such as solvents and antifreeze.
After hearing this news, I was more than a little bit irritated. The following is the informal message I sent through the comment form on the FDA website:

Harassment in any form can be annoying, unnerving, and even downright scary. Wow, what a shocker. Paris Hilton serves 3 whopping days of her 23 day sentence (despite reports from various media and the LA County Sheriff’s Department that she served 5), was told by a judge that she would not receive any special treatment - no work release, no purchase of better facilities, and no electronic monitoring (house arrest) - and lo and behold. Paris Hilton is out of jail. At least for the time being. Whether she will have to report back to the pokey after her court appearance tomorrow remains to be seen.
Watching podcasts and news reports on this topic have been a big eye opener for me. I have heard a number of media representatives compare Paris Hilton to Martha Stewart, apparently in an effort to analyze two famous females spending time in jail. I find this comparison odd for a number of reasons, which I will detail below.

With all of the buzz surrounding the four House Representatives who are taking the Food Stamp Challenge to get an insider’s view on how food stamp recipients get by on a month’s worth of food stamps, I thought it would be a good time to shed some light on the reality of the food stamp program. We’ve all heard and read commentary on both sides of the abortion argument. One side says that abortion is wrong, no matter what. The other side says that it is up to each woman to choose what she does with her own body. Well, here is yet another two cents to add to the abortion debate.

I recently started a new blog at blogger.com. In addition to Blogger being a well-known blog community, the blog layouts are easily customizable with a number of different templates and page elements. Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you have probably heard about Paris Hilton being sentenced to 45 days in jail for driving while suspended. How’d she end up suspended? She got busted for driving under the influence and reckless driving and was given three years of probation. She violated her probation, which lead to the suspension.

I’ve written two articles so far on this topic. Both touch on the Paid-to-Read industry’s contributions to the problem of click fraud - how some PTR programs are blatant about their fraudulent practices, and others are less than forthcoming about it. In this article, I will explain how click fraud in PTR actually drains the PPC advertiser’s advertising budget and how those who perpetrate this fraud make their money.

Most people who use search engines for advertising, particularly pay-per-click advertising, are aware, at least to some extent, of click fraud. The topic of click fraud has been discussed at length for years, and people have begun to recognize that the cottage industry of Paid-To-Read plays a part in it. This article will discuss the role of a specific type of PTR program that sets out to earn money off of the backs of honest business owners who pay for search engine advertising.
